How to get to Boreal Pack Adventure ?
Överkalix, a small village with 2,000 inhabitants located just 20 km from us, is just a stone’s throw from the Arctic Circle! We live in the heart of nature, surrounded by forests and lakes.
Reach us by Train
Whether in summer or winter, you can travel by train to Luleå, either directly from Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The journey takes about 12 hours, but you can travel comfortably in sleeper cars or couchettes. (Tickets open for sale 3 months before departure.)
If you wish to travel with your dog(s), it is possible on certain trains, under specific conditions (transport cages required).
You can rent a car in Luleå, from companies like Sixt, Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, and others.
Reach us by Plane
There are several airport options near Överkalix, depending on your schedule and route.
Once you arrive at your chosen airport, renting a car is the best option to stay independent during your entire trip. You can rent a car at Luleå Airport from companies like Sixt, Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, and others.
There is also an option through Finland: Ryanair offers Bordeaux – Rovaniemi flights. However, you will need to take precautions to rent a car that allows cross-border travel from Rovaniemi.
- • In winter: Direct flight from Paris Orly to Luleå, operated by Transavia, available only during the winter season.
- • Rest of the year: Paris CDG to Stockholm Arlanda, then Stockholm to Luleå, frequently operated by SAS or Norwegian Airlines.
- Ryanair also operates flights from France to Stockholm, for example, from Béziers. Note: A change of airport in Stockholm is required to continue to Luleå.

Reach us by car and van
Several options are available for driving to Sweden by vehicle.
The first option is to cross a bridge and tunnel connecting Copenhagen (Denmark) to Malmö (Sweden). The toll is approximately €50-70 for a standard car.
Once in Sweden, head towards Överkalix, located 100 km north of Luleå.
If you wish to travel with your dog(s), it is possible under certain conditions (number of dogs travelling, hygienic rules, pasports ect). Please be aware of the rules for crossing borders and customs regulations.
